I unpublished them all. Absolutely Heresy; I know. The rules are changing a bit (new part in bold):
"You may not upload a MIDI-rip or 1:1 recreation with new instruments.
Downloading a Zelda MIDI and assigning different instruments from the original is NOT your own work.
Similarly, if you remake a song by ear but the composition is 100% identical and only the instruments have changed, this also does not count as your own work. Your version must be original enough to not be recognized as a reskin."
I spoke to a mod about it, (who was the coolest dude ever); it sorta came down to "No, you may not". I kinda reiterated it myself: "We're just basically trying to avoid copying (one for one) the works of bigger companies, and to protect the "small guy", Which I thought was clever, and he agreed.
So most of the cool stuff is off newgrounds.
If there was something you liked and you cannot find it here, PM me and I will dig for it properly.

P.S. I made everything myself (cuz I love covering shit) . I didnt go to vgmusic.com or lift my compositions from a midi, but video game covers without an "arrangement" "remix" or 'original' component, aren't allowed.

I haven't seen all the submissions. I truly wish someone had the tact to recreate this with better music and slightly better animations, and original sound effects. SDJ only submitted it to newgrounds in 2006, but the submission has been around since 2002. This would've been a worthy contender in the NEO GEO Jam but the rules sort of prevented that.
